Project Management Apprenticeships

Project management is an increasingly important role within all sizes of businesses across a wide variety of sectors. In a fast-paced, changing world, effective management accountability demands individuals with the right capability, initiative and skills to ensure workplace projects are delivered on budget, in time and with the expected outcomes.  The Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management has been designed to provide a structured pathway to ensuring competent project professionals.

With over 80,000 project professionals in the UK (Source: Arras People Project Management Benchmark report, 2011), individuals may be working in a diverse range of industries. Job roles may include:

  • Project Co-ordinators

  • Project Support Officers

Project Management apprenticeships are available at higher level (level 4).

Individuals will gain a Diploma in Project Management.

A Project Management apprenticeship at level 4 will take approximately 24 months to complete.

Individuals will be drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds and will have a range of experience, age, personal achievements and, in some cases, prior qualifications and awards which may count towards achievement of an Apprenticeship. Examples may include those who have: held a position of responsibility at school or college achieved GCSEs or A Levels completed advanced apprenticeships from a wide range of sectors including business, construction, engineering, IT and telecoms holders of existing project management qualification such as APMP, PMP and PRINCE2©.
