International Trade Level 2

With ever increasing globalisation, the economy relies on the efficient movement of goods and services across the world. Having the right skill set to ensure products arrive on time, in the right condition and in accordance with legal requirements of each country is critical to any business trading internationally. Goods held up in transit cost businesses money.  Qualifications in international trade and logistics involves administration and customer service for processing export and insurance documentation, customs clearance and organising the movement of goods by road, rail, sea or air.

Course Content

The international trade and logistics level 2 qualification consists of a number of mandatory units with additional optional units chosen to reflect your job role.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However you must be working in international trade and the transport of goods and services either full-time or part-time. There will be a mixture of on and off the job training to gain skills and knowledge to work effectively in international trade. 

Duration & Format

Completion is anticipated within 9 - 12 months. The agreed number of visits will take place at your premises. You will be appointed a personal Training Adviser who will visit you in the workplace to assess progress on portfolio development and conduct observation sessions. Progress will be recorded at each visit. Oral or written questions will be used to cover underpinning knowledge. Start dates are available throughout the year.
