Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training delivers this qualification to individuals who want to develop their career or who would like to go down a different path. These qualifications cover the basics of training and educating, with Level 4 providing an advance course.

 

COURSE CONTENT

The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by teachers/trainers in the further education and training skills sector. Each level consists of different units that make up a specific amount of credits to complete the qualification.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements. However individuals should have the ability to manage the requirements of the level of qualification they are taking. Level 3 has no teaching/training practice requirements therefore it may be undertaken by individuals not in a teaching or training role. Level 4 requires individuals to have access to deliver 30 hours of teaching/training. For that reason, the qualification at level 4 is suggested for individuals working or wishing to deliver education and training in any learning environment.

DURATION & FORMAT

To achieve the City & Guilds Award/Certificate in Education & Training, short answer test and a micro teach will provide the evidence required to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the topics covered. The Level 3 consist of three modules and is delivered over six days for a minimum of 12 credits. Level 4 Certificate consist of nine modules delivered over 18 days for a minimum of 36 credits.
